We certainly worry about the Ummah. We do so due to the fact that it has been split into many divisions that became so alarming, and left us restless. We have become different sects, and battle with one another, lie to one another, and lie to our Ummah. National dialogues have started, and things that we never imagined to take place in our societies have been permitted to prevail. However, discord, clashes, and meaningless speeches are still going on.
Nevertheless, the advocates of the newly permitted things are not satisfied, and those who are against them are even more unsatisfied. Women went out further afield, and those who support them are still yelling asking for more. Whereas those who oppose this idea, and see it as rebellion against society norms, are much more furious. This applies to every confrontation between these two factions. So, tempers are rising, as well as rebellion, and the nerves are so tight, and none of them is ready to initiate a dialogue, out of fear of losing what they gained. In this scenario, you cannot miss those who are ready to reduce the gains of their opponents to nothing. Then, a fight breaks out, with weapons of harsh words, teeth, and claws. So, tell me which human value deserves shedding blood for it in vain? I fear for my Ummah because we started lying to ourselves even in the greatest values we are advocating, i.e., freedom of opinion.
Do not believe that a radical member of either party has faith in the other party?s opinion. When I wrote once about the equality of women, without referring to religious evidences, but only presenting the logic of life and the biological structure of men and women, I received the filthiest words from the advocates of equality and freedom of opinion. One of them called me and said that I have been, for the first time, ? trifle. A female doctor called me and told me her full name, then rebuked me and expressed her sorrow that I will ruin the country. I wondered, what hurt this furious woman, freedom of opinion? I was on a TV program with some young men whom I asked if they believe that the organization of The Committee for the Promotion of Virtue and the Prevention of Vice is a friendly organization or not. I aimed to prove to viewers that these young minds bear nothing against the organization, but that we have impressions about persons.
That is, if we meet a nice man from that organization we will have a good impression about it, and vice versa. I also aimed to prove to people that we must agree that the organization is necessary and indispensable to any society that applies the rules of Islam. But I received on the Internet some reactions that punished me so hard.
